Jaipur has one of the poorest health care infrastructures in India. consequently, it has among the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the world (UNICEF). Health care systems, are insufficient to meet demand, especially in rural villages.
SCF funded the purchase a mobile health van and hired one full-time doctor, two paramedical staff, and one counselor/social worker, to run the mobile van, serving the poorest villages in the most isolated and underserved areas of Jaipur. The goal of the mobile health van is to improve access to medical services for nine rural villages, with a total population of 65,000 residents in the Sanganer block near Jaipur.
The mobile health van provides preventive and curative health services and development assistance through health education programs, primary health care, health fairs, referral services, distribution of health information, and education and communication materials.
please help scf provide CRITICAL HEALTH SERVICES and increase THE infant and maternal mortality rate around the world.
